Wow, I didn’t know about this connection between Native American culture and the Druids. According to one of my teachers who is based in the UK, there is a huge revival taking place and the old ways are being revived by lots of people with growing numbers. Not just small groups of witchy women…but everyone coming out to celebrate the turning of the seasons. Thanks for writing this piece and sharing those connections.
I supported a pretty revolutionary sundance chief, so this is not something you would here from just any Lakota. But, when the dancer told me this, I could feel it in my bones. Definitely been seeing the resurgence of Earth-Based practices, particularly since the popularity of things like ayuasca, mushrooms, and even K, have allowed folks to access direct connection with Spirit—without the need of an interpreter. In my ever humble opinion, this is the only way for us to pull through the messes our unconsciousness as a collective have created. Thanks for the read, as always.
